Synopsis

"Tom, the CEO of a medical AI company, is highly successful and possesses an overwhelming desire for control. Yet by chance, he has an encounter with Betty, a seductive and mysterious woman, who gradually lures him into a trap of desire. Betty gets close to Tom, drawing him nearer step by step through physical intimacy and emotional entanglement, leaving him increasingly indulged and addicted. What Tom never knows is that the real mastermind behind Betty is none other than Amy, his half-sister. As their relationship spirals out of control, Betty initially takes on the scheme merely for money. However, she gradually develops genuine feelings for Tom as they spend time together. Everyone believes Tom has been utterly ruined both reputationally and career-wise. But at the final board meeting, Tom strikes back abruptly. He not only exposes the truth that Amy manipulated Betty to set him up, but also presents solid evidence of her embezzling corporate funds and transferring company assets. In the end, Amy is taken away by the police, and her conspiracy collapses completely. Though Betty comes to her senses, she realizes she has been nothing but a pawn in this power game all along. After regaining full control of the company, Tom chooses to part ways with her, leaving only a one-million-yuan transfer that symbolizes their complicated bond. This dangerous affair thus comes to an end with lingering regret."
