Synopsis
Nora returns home for Christmas, only to find her whole family dotes on Chloe, a girl they took in. With nine people and eight dragon fruits, Nora gets none. Years of unfair treatment, including her mother giving away her custom gold bracelet and removing her from family photos, spark a fierce conflict. Her father slaps her, and Chloe stages self-harm to frame her. Later, Nora is brutally beaten by her father and brothers on the porch, until her husband Ryan arrives to save her. The truth unfolds: Chloe manipulates both of Nora’s brothers, tricks Nora’s parents into mortgaging their house with a predatory loan to seize demolition compensation. Chloe is convicted, and Nora cuts all ties with her toxic family, starting a peaceful new life with Ryan.
