The Hidden Deer

Synopsis

"Lin Xitong, born with night blindness, begins to suspect her boyfriend Gu Jinchen has two faces—one moment a playboy, the next a gentle gentleman. Her suspicion deepens when she finds her lost pen on Lu Yao, the most important client of her company. To uncover the truth, Lin Xitong gradually gets closer to Lu Yao, only to stumble upon a secret between him and her boyfriend. It turns out that Gu Jinchen only pursued Lin Xitong to make his ""unattainable love,"" Xu Yuanyuan—who left him years ago—jealous. Every night, Gu Jinchen would leave to secretly meet Xu Yuanyuan. Meanwhile, Lu Yao, for the benefit of his corporation, agreed to Gu Jinchen's request to entertain Lin Xitong as his stand-in during these nightly absences. Gradually, the rigid and serious Lu Yao finds himself flustered by Lin Xitong's presence, yet he stubbornly maintains his boundaries. Lu Yao assumes this stand-in farce will end in two weeks, but Lin Xitong discovers his and Gu Jinchen's secret. Instead of the expected dramatic meltdown, she calmly asks, ""Lu Yao, want to give us a try?"""
