Synopsis
In the Blackmoon Territory ruled by Vampire Queen Velea Sinclair, humans live in the shadow of the Blood Citadel. A century-old curse dooms Velea to suffer fatal backlash under every blood moon, forcing human families to offer male blood servants yearly. The impoverished Rowan House, unwilling to sacrifice their son, mute and disguise their daughter Irene as a boy. Though Velea sees through her ruse, she spares Irene—for her blood alone can suppress the curse. To survive and secure her throne, Velea binds Irene to her with the unbreakable Twin Blood Pact.
