Synopsis

Shen Qingqing, a modern woman, rants about a poorly written novel online—and accidentally triggers a system that pulls her into the story. She becomes the novel’s tragic queen, with a terrible rule: she must follow the novel’s abusive plot to return home. If she disobeys, she will be erased from existence. On her first day in the palace, she witnesses Jun Yin, the tyrant emperor, executing concubines for small mistakes. Terrified, she starts ranting internally about how cruel and unreasonable he is—only for Jun Yin to hear her thoughts clearly. Surprised by her honesty (and amused by her bold remarks), he spares her life and even orders her to stay in his palace as his companion. As they spend more time together, Shen Qingqing faces constant danger: jealous nobles want to harm her, and Lin Shuer, the novel’s villainess, plots against her. But Jun Yin, who can still hear her inner voice, defends her every time. Slowly, feelings start to grow between them. However, to complete the novel’s plot and go back to her own world, Shen Qingqing is forced to do things that hurt Jun Yin—leading to deep misunderstandings. Will the truth come out before the plot destroys their growing love? Can they break the novel’s curse and stay together forever?
