Synopsis

The balance of yin and yang hinges on the outcome of this Underworld World Cup. Should Huaxia’s Nether Realm suffer another defeat, the entire domain of Huaxia’s underworld will crumble and vanish entirely, and the cycle of reincarnation between the living and the dead will cease to exist. To safeguard the very foundation of the netherworld, King Yama makes an unprecedented exception: he retrieves Gao Qiu from the Purgatory to lead the Huaxia team into battle. Even captain Gao Qiu sustains severe injuries, forcing the realm to recruit new players and external reinforcements. Yet right before the final match, one crucial reinforcement has yet to arrive. Gao Qiu’s squad steps onto the pitch against the Southern Underworld team under Hades’s command. The rivals outmatch the Huaxia side in both skill and supernatural prowess. Still, united as one, Gao Qiu and his teammates steadily claw back to level the score. By extra time, the entire team is on the brink of collapse. At this critical juncture, the long-awaited reinforcement arrives. The team uses their final substitution slot. The mysterious newcomer strikes up flawless chemistry with Gao Qiu, sealing the victory and securing the championship for Huaxia.
