Synopsis

Claire is the sole heir to ThorneBloom, Atlanta’s top cosmetics company, and holds all of the company’s shares. Her husband, Mason, comes from a working-class family in the Rust Belt; while he appears gentle and considerate on the surface, behind her back he is secretly colluding with Lila, the family’s private physical therapist. The two conspire—with Lila seizing an opportunity to release a venomous snake to poison Claire, staging it as an accident—in an attempt to fraudulently claim a $10 million life insurance payout and take over her company. However, fate gives Claire a second chance: she is reborn with memories of her tragic death, returning to the eve of her murder. Armed with her memories from her previous life, she accurately predicted the time of her murder, caught Lila red-handed as she sneaked into the mansion to release the venomous snake, and used security cameras to uncover the pair’s scheme to lace her vitamins with a neuroinhibitor. Faced with betrayal, Claire did not confront them head-on but instead switched to a mode of extreme restraint and strategic maneuvering. Mason formed factions within the company, attempting to undermine her decision-making authority by leveraging his status as her spouse; her vain mother-in-law, Evelyn, repeatedly humiliated her in public by citing her inability to conceive a male heir; and most sickening of all, Lila used her pregnancy with Mason’s child as leverage to force him to accelerate his plan to seize power. Claire turned the tables, dangling a “$50 million exclusive agency deal with a European distributor” as a deadly bait to lure Mason—desperate to prove himself—into losing his mind and frantically mortgaging his private properties to meet the terms of the performance-based agreement. Meanwhile, she holds a nuclear-level trump card—Mason’s confirmed diagnosis of irreversible azoospermia—which directly proves that the fetus in Lila’s womb is actually the illegitimate child of a gang member.
