Synopsis

The five Great God-Kings of the Nordland Continent—Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, and Void—fell into silence following the Great War against the Demon Gods, leaving only fragments of their divine essence scattered across the mortal realm. A century later, the continent fractured; the Holy See seized control of the central government, and various factions carved out their own territories. The male protagonist, Kael, was prophesied by the Church’s oracle from childhood to be the Chosen One who would save the world. The King of the North arranged his marriage to Princess Seraphine at an early age, but as he grew up, he showed no divine gifts whatsoever, becoming a good-for-nothing hunter mocked by all. After failing the knight selection trials yet again, Seraphine publicly and dramatically called off the engagement, humiliating Kael deeply. That same night, Kael was ambushed by a mysterious assailant. On the brink of death, he learned that his divine essence had long been sealed away. At that critical moment, fragments of the Time-Space Divine Essence within him awoke, unexpectedly reincarnating him back to the night before the engagement was broken. Armed with memories of his past life and the power of the Time-Space Divine Essence, Kael calmly accepted the breakup and forcefully turned the tables, completely transforming his once-humble past. To unseal his divinity and defy fate, Kael left the Northern Frontier. Pursued by his enemies, he narrowly escaped using his newly awakened divine powers, only to stumble into elven territory, where he was rescued by the kind elven maiden Elsa. He discovered that the elven Sacred Tree held the primordial sources of the Wind and Life divine essences, but was ostracized and viewed with suspicion by the elven tribe due to his human identity. At a critical moment, the Sacred Tree recognized him as its master, shocking the entire tribe into submission. Thereafter, Kael aided the elves in repelling a goblin invasion, crushing the Goblin War God, and securing the fragments of the Earth and Mountain Divine Essences, thereby gathering all three Divine Essences. However, the mutual repulsion between multiple Divine Essences left him severely injured and frequently unconscious; only the Ice and Water Divine Essences could harmonize them—and that fragment happened to be in the possession of Seraphine, the Princess of the Northern Realm. Just then, the Northern Realm came under siege by beasts, and the Holy See seized the opportunity to force the princess into a political marriage to secure aid. In this hour of peril, Kael made a powerful return alongside the elven forces, using his supreme divine power to wipe out the beast army and shatter everyone’s preconceptions. To save the unconscious Kael, Seraphine embraced her destiny and used the practice of dual cultivation to awaken him. The two resolved their past misunderstandings and realized that the Holy See was the mastermind behind all the conspiracies. Ultimately, Kael gathered all five divine fragments, confronted the Holy See forces colluding with the Demon God and the Eight-Armed Demon God himself, fused the divine powers of the five elements to become a true god, brought a complete end to the continent’s wars, and achieved a happy ending.
