Synopsis

ZERO is a live-action vertical superhero series blending Western revenge, mythic beasts, dark humor, conspiracy, and large-scale action. In 1890, impoverished cowboy Arthur Logan is lured into a saloon trap while trying to buy medicine for his dying sister. His horse is killed, and although Arthur fights his way out with a revolver, he is forced to return home on foot. By the time he arrives, his sister is already dead. Broken by grief, Arthur takes his own life—only to crawl out of a volcanic rift more than a century later. Reborn in the modern world, Arthur possesses an indestructible body, a revolver with endless ammunition, and the ability to track blood, footprints, scents, bullet paths, and human movement. He believes he has returned for one reason: to find those responsible for destroying his life and make them pay. At the same time, Otto Allen, a selfish, vain, greedy, and cowardly failed entertainer, unexpectedly inherits the power known as Last Light. Otto can fly, move at extreme speed, withstand devastating attacks, and release golden energy—but his first plan is not to save the world. It is to become rich, famous, and possibly rob a bank. Arthur and Otto meet as enemies. One believes every sinner must face judgment; the other sees superpowers as a business opportunity. Forced into an uneasy alliance with investigative journalist Maya Reed, they uncover the truth behind The Dominion Six, the world’s most celebrated superheroes. Secretly, these heroes create catastrophic rifts, unleash ancient beasts, and harvest their cores to preserve their fading powers. Among them is the mysterious Aurelia Voss, also known as War Grace, a dangerous and unpredictable warrior directly connected to Arthur’s tragedy in 1890. She has saved countless lives, sacrificed innocent people for what she believed was the greater good, and may be either the team’s greatest enemy or its only chance of survival. As legendary creatures such as Qiongqi, Taowu, Xiang Liu, and Zhu Long emerge, Arthur must choose between revenge and redemption, while Otto must prove whether a deeply flawed man can still make the right choice. This is not the story of an ordinary man becoming a perfect hero. It is the story of a man below zero, struggling to reach zero.
