A Kidney for a Son

Synopsis

"A devoted wife helps her husband achieve his lofty ambitions, only for him to abandon her once he reaches the top. In his youth, Yun Chi met, fell in love with, and married Jiang Yu'an. They built a family first, then supported each other to achieve career success, eventually becoming wealthy. However, in middle age, Yun Chi unexpectedly had an affair and began keeping a mistress. Moreover, because his wife Jiang Yu'an had not borne him a son, he lavished affection on the illegitimate son, Yun Ye, born to his mistress. Thus, upon learning that Yun Ye had suddenly developed acute renal failure and urgently needed a kidney transplant, Yun Chi, disregarding the fact that his own daughter Yun Nuan was physically frail and suffered from a coagulation disorder—making surgery extremely risky—ignored his wife's desperate pleas and objections. He forcibly took his biological daughter Yun Nuan to the hospital for the kidney transplant surgery."
