Star of the Banished

Synopsis

"In a family of arcane performers, the untimely death of the eldest son leaves his children with the ancestral jade pendant — a sacred heirloom passed down through generations. His eight-year-old son, Lin Xing, suffers from a crippled constitution and a fatal cold-affliction; only the power of the pendant can sustain his life. Yet the jade also contains the Lin family’s deepest mystical legacy. Driven by ambition, the family patriarch and his second and third brothers seek to seize the heirloom for its inherited secrets, disregarding Lin Xing’s fragile fate. They force Lin Xing and his elder sister to surrender the pendant, using their cultivation prowess to oppress the helpless siblings. At the critical moment, when the entire clan presses down upon them, the eight-year-old boy — deemed a cripple from birth — suddenly unleashes a divine performance lost for centuries: “The Immortals’ Birthday Homage.” With this transcendent art, Lin Xing overwhelms the Lin clan’s disciples, turning the tide in a stunning reversal of destiny."
