Driven Out of Home! My Blueprints Became My Salvation

Synopsis

**Title: Bad‑Luck All Day, Landlord Gave Me a Lifeline** Sun Yumo is a 26‑year‑old interior designer trapped in an unfair family dynamic. For years she sends most of her salary home to support her younger brother, barely making ends meet and falling two months behind on rent. One terrible morning, everything collapses at once. Her landlord Lao Hu shows up demanding full payment of 4,260‑yuan or immediate eviction. Disaster piles up: her boyfriend breaks up with her cruelly over the phone; her mother shouts at her, pressuring her for her brother’s tuition; her company fires her and cancels ongoing projects. When she begs her best friend Jiajia for a loan, Jiajia refuses bluntly, hoping to force her out of the cycle of borrowing to patch endless gaps. Cornered and hopeless, Sun Yumo waits for eviction. While searching her place for valuables, Lao Hu stumbles across her hand‑drawn house‑renovation blueprints. Impressed by their far‑superior detail compared to commercial design firms, he makes a practical offer instead of evicting her. She will deliver complete design drawings plus supervise half‑a‑month of on‑site construction for his old apartment renovation, in exchange for wiping off all overdue rent plus the next quarter’s rent. Sun Yumo accepts the hard‑earned opportunity. She stays up late refining plans and stands firm to stop construction workers from switching out standard‑grade wires for cheap counterfeit ones. Meanwhile, an independent design studio reaches out to her after seeing her online work — its director turns out to be Lao Hu’s son Hu Lei. She aces the interview and lands her first full‑scale official design project. Later, she opens up truthfully to her mother about losing her job, the breakup and the rent crisis. Her mother finally realizes how harshly she has treated her daughter and relieves her of the obligation to fund the brother. Her younger brother also matures and sends her a warm message. After the renovation finishes successfully, Sun Yumo moves out. She joins the studio and devotes herself to old‑building renovation work. She learns that misfortune pushed her latent talent to the surface. Rather than depending on others’ charity, she re‑builds her life with her own professional skill.
