I Object — He's My Daddy!
Synopsis
Nora Hayes worked as a server at a wealthy couple's wedding. Her five-year-old daughter, Lily, suddenly ran to the altar and raised her small hand, shouting, "I object! He's my daddy!" The groom on the stage, Sebastian Klein, was the man Nora had desperately fled from five years ago; and the bride, Vivian Sloan, was the one who pushed pregnant Nora down the hospital stairs five years ago. Five years ago, Sebastian had suffered a serious car accident. Nora, who was three months pregnant, risked her life to drag him out of the burning car, but was threatened by Vivian in the hospital and pushed down the stairs. The child miraculously survived, and Nora received a text message from Sebastian's phone, demanding that she leave and disappear. Later, she was threatened by a strange number along with her and the child's safety. She thought Sebastian had abandoned her and could only take her daughter and run away alone. But she didn't know that these texts never came from Sebastian. On the wedding day, Lily's appearance completely shattered Vivian's carefully maintained illusion. Sebastian demanded an immediate paternity test, but Vivian bribed the doctor of the Klein family, Hollis, to swap the samples. The wrong report announced a zero probability of paternity, and Nora was humiliated in public. Vivian then took the opportunity to announce that she was pregnant. Just when everyone thought Nora had completely lost, Lily held the "Goodnight Bear" with the recording function and revealed another secret - the conspiracy when Vivian swapped the samples was all recorded by the bear. Vivian then, in an attempt to cover up, pushed Lily off the stairs in public. Sebastian, to protect his daughter, jumped down from a height, and the father and daughter were both seriously injured. After Lily was sent to the hospital, she urgently needed blood transfusion. Sebastian, realizing that he and his daughter had the same rare AB-negative blood type, personally gave her a blood transfusion. At the same time, the crescent-shaped birthmark on Lily's shoulder was exactly the same as the family birthmark on Sebastian's body, making him the first to truly suspect Vivian and Hollis. The re-run paternity test eventually proved that Lily was Sebastian's biological daughter, with a probability of 99.99%. Sebastian finally learned the truth from Nora five years ago: Nora not only didn't take the two million dollars, but also risked her life to save his life in the car accident. The investigation further revealed that the check was forged and signed by Vivian and deposited in her account. She also long-term used lies to manipulate Sebastian and Nora, causing them to miss out on five years. After the truth was revealed, Nora still had to face new traps. Vivian used the necklace to frame Nora, making her arrested for theft; Diana tried to send Lily to Switzerland under the pretext of "for the child's sake". Sebastian stood by the mother and daughter again and discovered that Vivian not only participated in the conspiracy five years ago but also planned to use peanut allergy to frame Lily. The hospital staircase surveillance footage kept by the old security guard Walter, the testimony of the emergency worker Frank, and Hollis' confession gradually pieced together the truth from five years ago. Vivian, however, didn't stop. While pretending to be pregnant to gain sympathy, she threatened Hollis to prepare a nerve agent that could cause cardiac arrest and was difficult to detect through routine toxicology tests, and planned to kill Sebastian in the champagne at the second wedding. At the second wedding scene, Vivian tried to turn the tables with a final lie, but Sebastian forced her into a corner in public. The paternity test under judicial supervision confirmed that Lily was his biological daughter, and the surveillance footage of the hospital staircase was made public. Vivian's long-term deception collapsed completely. In the end, Vivian was convicted of attempted intentional homicide, fraud, forging financial documents, and malicious injury, and was sentenced to twenty-two years in prison. Hollis lost her medical license and was subject to criminal prosecution, and Richard Sloan completely cut off his relationship with his daughter. Nora held Lily and left the wedding scene that had hurt them, but her daughter insisted, and she stopped. Once, Nora risked her life to drag Sebastian out of the fire. This time, Sebastian overcame all the lies and dangers and finally brought Nora and Lily back to their own home. The three of them held a simple wedding ceremony in the backyard of the white house. When the priest asked again, "If anyone has any objections to this marriage, please speak now," Lily raised her little hand first: "No one objects! He is my daddy and she is my mommy. We will never be apart in this family for the rest of our lives!"
